As part of Newcastle fashion week I have been helping with workshops held at Newcastle Library as part of a series of events to promote textile crafts in the city. The workshops are called bite sized crafts and run from 28th May until 5th June 10am-2pm. The workshops are free and open to anyone from the public. I was selected to teach workshops with lino printing and the others specialised in felting and machine embroidery. Towards the end of the workshop it started to get quieter so I ended up focusing on producing some of my own lino prints. I was really pleased with the results of something which I wasn't putting much thought into initially. I may develop these prints further as I love the textural marks produced!
